| Everyone would like to have a fulfilling life. But like everything on earth, living a fulfilled life takes work. I won’t say its hard work, I’ll say its good work. However it has to be approached with an adequate level of tenacity, with purpose, and with the mindset that realization of true fulfillment will take your whole life. Like everything meaningful, it never really is one thing you need to master, but a series of steps you have to take. In my opinion, the good thing about most things, again, is that as you master a couple, its gets easier and easier to master the others. And I like to believe that all these steps are things we already know, but always need to constantly remind ourselves about.
Below are 15 quick things, but the list is endless. If you are one of the lucky few to have mastered these 15 (or any 15 for that matter), by all means continue to push the envelope. Good Luck!!
- Have at least one passion for something positive. There are alot of passions out there, but be passionate about something positive.
- Try to visit as many countries and/or places as you can. It helps improve your perspective on life, and helps you understand and appreciate other cultures and people.
- Believe in God and believe in yourself and abilities. This helps you progress when everything looks bleak.
- Continue to learn something new something different. Good areas for this are professionally and hobby-wise.
- If you have kids, spend time with them when they are youngest, that is your one shot to mold who they will become.
- Try to improve or take steps towards improving someone else’s life as often as you can. Have a giving attitude as it is more blessed to give then to receive. There is a reward and sense of satisfaction that comes with that.
- Do not count on anyone to improve your happiness, do not let anyone inhibit your happiness either.
- Be nice and respectful to people. Be cordial to them. Even if they dislike you.
- Know that it’s alot more stressful having negative feelings about anything and anyone
- If you love someone, try not to hurt them. There are times you will fail, but keep trying.
- Don’t be anyone’s door mat. Its not worth it. You devalue yourself.
- Be patient, and always filled with hope.
- Never be in debt if you can help it - you are a slave to whom you owe.
- Love your family
- Whatever you do, do it well (with all you got).
